About the April Knights
The April Knights are a long-standing community of gamers, builders, and storytellers who come together each year to make something unforgettable. What started with The Button in 2015 has grown into a guild that has stood the test of time—rallying around puzzles, games, and collaborative events across Reddit and beyond.
Our guiding principle is simple: maximize fun by working together. Whether defending pixels during r/place, building alliances in community games, or hosting our own April 1st “Game Day,” we are at our best when we are united in play.
Our Structure: The Battalion System
To keep our order strong and organized, the April Knights use the battalion system. Every Knight joins a battalion that reflects their playstyle or personality. Each battalion has its own commander, culture, and focus—forming smaller groups within the larger guild where members can belong, contribute, and grow.

Our Legacy
- 2015 – Born from The Button, the original Knights rallied around honor, timing, and trust.
- 2016–2019 – From Robin to Sequence, we tested our strategies in community-wide experiments.
- 2020–2022 – We rose in Imposter, Second, and the legendary r/place, building alliances and defending our canvas.
- 2023+ – Hosting homegrown events like the Circle of Trust and puzzle hunts, the guild continues to thrive.
